It's definitely time I update my review.
My first time at the PA Market was less than great. The service was awful and the pizza left a lot to be desired.
Since then, I've returned on a few occasions. Once with a large group of friends, another time for a post work happy hour, and then another time for after dinner drinks. These visits were much better than my first. All of the friends that I've introduced to the PA Market absolutely love it. The outdoor courtyard addition is another reason why I'm upping my review. I am always on the lookout for new outdoor spaces in Pittsburgh, and the courtyard was right up my alley.
The bar service got a lot better since they opened. Service is much quicker and the bartenders are more helpful in deciding between the wine offerings. The craft cocktails are also phenomenal, but my favorite is a classic Aperol Spritz!
On my next visit, I will be sure to try out the charcuterie, since that's the way to my heart. -

I'm only giving this place two stars because the environment is very nice and there is so much potential within the space. The ambiance upstairs is very warm and rustic.
I still stand by Edgar's being the best establishment that serves food here. Definitely not the best tacos in Pittsburgh in my opinion, however they are good. I felt compelled to update my review here because I had an awful experience that I would like the community to know about.
My coworkers and I decided to go here for lunch. They decided on tacos and I wanted something healthy, so I ventured upstairs to Bistro 108 for a salad. Not many people were there, maybe three others. I thought it was a little overkill that the young woman behind the counter gave me a buzzer for when my food would be ready. I ordered a citrus and avocado salad and it took about 25 minutes for me to get my food. My coworkers met me upstairs and agreed that it was taking a very long time. When my food finally came out, the buzzer did not even go off! The food was presented in a sad soup container packaged in a plastic bag which the young woman gave me. Ok customer service wasn't the best, I'm not sure why I waited so long for a mediocre salad. The kicker is, I didn't even get avocado in the salad even though it was called a citrus avocado salad. The chicken that I added was not worth it one bit, it almost doubled the price of my salad and it was for five pieces of slightly burnt chicken. Value was not there at all.
Don't be fooled by the beautiful ambiance at Pennsylvania Market, especially the upstairs. I am confident in saying the food sucks. -

The best part about this place is the space. It's the only reason i'd give it 3 stars. With an outdoor patio and a large upstairs with high tops, low tops, and a comfortable lounge there are a lot of options to sit and relax. They also have a big central bar in the middle of the large room which adds to the aesthetics. It's a great atmosphere to meet a group of friends.
The food and drinks however, have been sub par. Edible but not noteworthy or worth the cost. The sole reason to come is for the atmosphere. We also went on a Sunday hoping to sit on the patio and grab some food, and their outdoor patio food market does not sell food on Sundays. Not ideal! -

Such an awesome vibe tucked away in the strip with multiple areas all worth exploring. Right now they only have a few of the food stations open but literally everything on the menu is delicious. More importantly this is definitely a top 10 date spot in Pittsburgh! Make sure you checkout their patio on the 2nd floor and their cantina bar on the first floor in the back!

Noisy, happening food court with a wine bar and, the night I was there, live jazz music. Nice variety of food offerings, especially for sharing. A pal and I split the mac n cheese (sooo creamy) and a large farmer's salad for a total of $15. I was less impressed with my $9 glass of wine, which seemed to be a stingy pour. If it's nice you can sit on the mezzanine deck. There's typically street parking.
